Las Vegas, Nev. — This weekend, the Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Nevada AFL-CIO, Rusty McAllister, released the below statement to affiliates to mark the Fourth of July holiday:
"Brothers and sisters — Happy Fourth of July! This weekend, we celebrate the creation of our country — a country that is union made and union strong," McAllister said. "The working men and women of the United States built this country, and our labor movement has ensured that those same men and women are treated with dignity and respect in the workplace. So, while we celebrate our country, we’re also celebrating all of you. Thank you for all you do, and Happy Fourth!"
