Las Vegas, Nev. — Following updated guidance from the Southern Nevada Health District recommending a return to indoor masking for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, Nevada AFL-CIO Executive Secretary-Treasurer Rusty McAllister released the following statement:

"All working Nevadans deserve to feel safe and respected in their workplaces, and that includes protection from COVID-19 and its variants. As cases of COVID-19 once again increase, we must follow the guidance of our health care professionals and protect ourselves and each other by wearing masks and getting vaccinated. The livelihoods of many working Nevadans rely on keeping our many resorts, hotels, and casinos open for business—and that can only happen if we all do our part."
